In the meantime, Michaela faces her fears built from the past while struggling to find her place in the pack.

Fox Play continues the story first begun in Fox Run. This is a novel of 95,000 words.

Fox Play The Madison Wolves Book 2 edition by Robin Roseau Literature Fiction eBooks

This book was actually written by Joe P Larson who also writes under the names Julia P Lynde and Rosetta Robbins. Joe P Larson is a heterosexual male who has been passing himself off as a lesbian and communicating with women who believe they are talking to another lesbian. While I find those actions deplorable I am more concerned with the nature of his work. This book follows the predictable pattern developed by this author. His writing contains violence against women in a supposedly loving relationship, that goes beyond acceptable. Breaking some ones bones because of lack of self control is unacceptable. This book like his previous books is poorly written and badly edited. The grammatical errors make reading difficult. The author's lack of prior planning shows in the plot holes and incomplete story lines. This is not a book I can recommend to anyone!

Fox Play The Madison Wolves Book 2 edition by Robin Roseau Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The fox and the wolf, what can you say about two different weres, except what a great match. I love the wit of the fox and her presence in the pack and how the story picked up from Fox Run. I can not wait for the next book and hope there are many new adventures with the pack. Can't wait for the marriage and maybe more family? If take anything from this book into your daily life it would be how good a true partnership can be between two people.
An incredible follow up to the first book, I have already purchased the next two and one of the shorts that fits the upcoming timeline.

Michaela finally becomes a true member of the pack, and her and Lara's love grows throughout the book, ending with a proposal.

I loved the development of Angel & Scarlett's relationship, and that of Benny and June's. The pack revealed their secret to Benny and he willingly bowed to June's sweet domination.
If I had read that it was about were wolves, I never would have read it. I am so glad I missed that is a review or wherever it was. I loved the interplay between the fox and wolf lovers in their human forms and wondered why they did not investigate this area in their animal forms as well. I wish these books were in movie form. I do better with someone showing me the picutres. Anyway, I am awaiting the next book. As an addendum, my chihuahua looks like a fox and her poodle friend is quite a bit bigger. When they play, she often offers her throat to the poodle. An enchanting interplay. Thank you for the chance to see through different eyes.
So, somehow I seem to have just run through the first three books in The Madison Wolves series in as many days and am only just now coming up for air. oh I'll get to the rest, no doubt, but after the third it was time to take a short break, and not only that, I thought I'd drop by and post my thoughts on each one so far...which is already a triumph for the author right there because, I don't write reviews. Check my history, I just am not normally motivated to write reviews, and yet, here I am.

Continuing with Fox Play, the author moves right into the story continuing the conversational tone of the first book. The first book made me feel as though Michaela and were in the same room as she shared her story with me personally. For the second book, perhaps Michaela took time to send someone for refreshments for both of us, but once we have our drinks we settle back down and she tells me more about how her life developed after falling in with the Madison wolf pack. The Chicago Wolves want to muscle in on the Madison alpha's territory and we just can't have that now can we. It gets dangerous when it becomes apparent that they also want Michaela for a very sick and twisted game first touched on briefly in the first novel. Can't have that either. The book isn't so much about the conflict itself, though that does become the climax for the story, but more about how Michaela copes with the fact that she's in this strange new world of being a pseudo-member of a wolf pack and worrying that her freedoms as a fox may disappear. Her romance with Lara continues to blossom, though its such a tense situation it's hard to make headway.

Regardless, the story continues to be engaging and purely character driven. Character development and character driven stories get me every time and with this second book the author continues to impress. Constantly I have to remind myself that these characters have human form because they are so immersed in their animal sides it very easy to forget.

An excellent sequel to the original.
